This year, I’m taking part in Dry July for a very personal reason.

Following my breast cancer diagnosis in 2024, I quickly learned that cancer recovery is about so much more than treatment alone. Organisations like Pinc & Steel showed me that rehabilitation extends beyond physical recovery. They provide support, community, confidence, and a pathway back to yourself when life suddenly feels unfamiliar.

At a time when anxiety made “normal” feel impossible to return to, that support played a huge role in helping me rebuild both physically and mentally.

Dry July is my way of giving back and helping ensure others facing cancer have access to the same kind of care and support when they need it most.
