Why I’m Taking Part
I've signed up for Dry July, which means I'm going alcohol-free in July! My challenge is much more than just giving up alcohol - it's about raising funds for cancer support services to help Kiwi affected by cancer. There's nothing more sobering than the reality of cancer, so I'd love for you to pour out your generosity and support me.

Hi Fiona, I'm always happy to support a good cause.
I hope all is well with you, as it is with Gail and me. That's apart from the fact that getting old is getting old! Tomorrow we have 78 descendants of the Englishman who first settled our Virginia farm arriving for their biennial visit. Gail is going to give them a 20-minute talk (with Powerpoint slides!) about her work discovering the site of the first church, dated 1685, that their ancestor built here. The last week has been unreal, getting ready for the invasion.
On the up side, we had a new calf born a couple of days ago, which gives me hope for the future. Not much else does.
