Help people affected by cancer. Read more...
At Cancer Support New Zealand we understand that cancer affects far more than health. It can shake confidence, identity, and the everyday parts of life that once felt simple. That is why it exists to support the whole person, not just the patient.
Formerly Look Good Feel Better, Cancer Support New Zealand has supported people with cancer for more than 35 years. While our name has evolved, our purpose remains the same: helping people feel more like themselves again during and after treatment. All support is free, practical, and non-medical, designed to sit alongside clinical care and ease the visible and invisible effects of cancer on daily life.
Not everyone can attend in person, and some days simply getting out the door is too hard. That is why it also offers more than 20 live online classes, alongside podcasts, articles, videos, and on-demand resources supported by Dry July. These cover wellbeing, sleep, mindfulness, movement, nutrition, and emotional support, available whenever they are needed, including quiet moments after treatment or late at night.
There is no single way to experience cancer. Everything offered is shaped by lived experience and a simple goal: to help people feel seen, supported, and more like themselves again in whatever way that looks for them.

Important Note
Dry July is a fundraising campaign aimed at challenging social drinkers to change their habits for a month and make some healthy lifestyle changes. We would encourage people to drink responsibly and stick to the recommended daily guidelines for the rest of the year. We advise heavy drinkers or people dependent on alcohol to speak with their GP before signing up to Dry July.
