I’m going dry this July because I know several people, including several family members and friends who have been affected, or died of cancer. While there are now many good targeted therapies for cancer, we still have a long way to go, especially for aggressive and hard to diagnose disease.

Also, I was particularly impressed that the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand is one of Dry July’s partners. This cancer gets less attention than it should, and is becoming more prevalent in older men.
